  • Watercolors: A Relaxed Approach w/ Tracy Boyle – 1:00 p.m. at SAGE Community ARTS – “This class is designed for any and all levels. Embracing the unpredictability and freedom that painting with watercolors provides. I strongly encourage working with a larger brush and leaving all the pencils at home. My goal is to help everyone hone their ability to see objects truthfully and then to transfer these individual perceptions onto the paper. The environment will be relaxed with an emphasis on numerous practice attempts and fostering confidence with the paintbrush.” -Tracy Boyle.  No experience necessary!   • Exploring Color Through Painting w/ Jenny Wuerker – 9 a.m. at SAGE Community ARTS – Dig deep into understanding color. This hands-on painting class will focus on how to bring beautiful color into your paintings. You will learn about color theory, mixing paint, the palette, temperature, and much more.   • Java with a Journo – 2:00 p.m. at Java Moon – On the first Saturday of every month, The Sheridan Press editor Ashleigh Fox hangs out at a local coffee shop to hear story pitches, answer questions and gain feedback on how we’re doing at The Press. Stop by!

  • Wargame Wednesdays – 6:00 p.m. at Puzzle’s Game & Hobby – Open play and league play for Warmachine/Hordes, & Warhammer 40k Kill-team. New players welcome!
  • Chess Club with the YMCA – 6:00 p.m. at The HUB on Smith – The Hub is happy to host for the second year Chess Club for all ages through a partnership with the YMCA. The younger children will begin at 4:30 PM and then Grade 6 through adult will begin at 6:00 PM and will meet every Wednesday for 11 weeks. Direct questions to the YMCA at 674-7488. The fee will be $30 for YMCA members, $40 for non-YMCA members. This activity will be held in the community room except for on the 3rd Wed they will meet in the cafe.

  • Peace for Michelle Fundraiser – 3:00 p.m. at Luminous Brewhouse A fundraiser and silent auction to benefit Michelle Larson to help cover a portion of her medical expenses. Michelle has been battling many health issues and has been referred to the Mayo Clinic for further treatment. There will be food music and a silent auction with proceeds benefiting Michelle Larson on this journey! Luminous will be donating 10% of all the day’s sales to help this wonderful lady.

  • All Skill Beginning Wheel Throwing Class – 6:00 p.m. at Red Bison Studios – Designed for all skill levels, this class is an excellent introduction to ceramic fundamentals. The class project is a structured class of learning the basic shapes of wheel throwing, (cylinder, bowl, and plate) or whatever you want to make!
