In Historic Downtown Sheridan, it is once again time for another year of the Sheridan Farmers Market! Local growers and artisans gather together to provide fresh produce, arts, and crafts. Weekly musicians provide a festive atmosphere for families to enjoy.

The Downtown Sheridan Association (DSA) is proud to be partnering with the Flying H Polo Club and the Skey Johnston Family to bring you the tenth Goose Creek Polo Cup. The Goose Creek Polo Cup will take place on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at the Flying H Polo Cup. This unique experience gives our community the opportunity to witness the highest-rated polo cup in the USA during the summer with the gorgeous Bighorn Mountains as a backdrop.
The community is invited to attend this family-friendly polo game for $10 a carload. Additionally, there is a maximum of 15 sponsor tents available for purchase! Interested parties are encouraged to contact the DSA office at 672-8881 at their earliest convenience. The gates open at 3:00 pm and the game is scheduled to start at 5 pm. Also taking place will be a kid’s foot race, a Champagne Divot Stomp at halftime, and a Professional and Amateur Calcutta!
All proceeds raised during this event benefits Downtown Sheridan Association and their mission, “To preserve, enhance, and promote historic downtown Sheridan to ensure future prosperity”. In previous years, DSA provided funds to benefit and advocate for the Goose Creek Streamed Restoration Project. DSA still thrives to advocate for maximum benefits for the Little Goose and Big Goose streams. Phase I & II are complete, and the project has recently transitioned into a Design and Construction Phase.
The Flying H Polo Club was started in 2005. For six weeks each summer the best polo players worldwide come to Big Horn to play professional polo. The games are fast paced and the players and horses are top notch athletes. There are only a few locations in the world that play this level of polo. The Flying H Ranch is committed to conservation and it is pleased to host an event that will raise monies that help to preserve and enhance the natural beauty in downtown Sheridan.
The Downtown Historic District Promotions Committee announces the annual Crazy Days on historic downtown Main Street is scheduled for Thursday, Friday & Saturday, August 1st, 2nd, and 3rd! The Downtown retailers will be discounting much of their prior year’s inventory to get ready for fall and holiday shipments that will be arriving soon. Weather permitting, there will be sidewalk sales as well as inside discounts that are the lowest offered throughout the year. Some businesses will be open late on Thursday, while many will be open early all three days. Contact specific stores for their hours of operation or come down to enjoy the shopping, food and fabulous prices. Be sure to stop by the Farmers’ Market on Thursday evening from 5pm to 7pm and check out all the local products and produce while participating in all the fun activities!
