Introductions (15 minutes):

  • Introduction to workshop, presenters and participants
  • DSA: information on programs (Design with an Architect, Loans, Design Guidelines)

Why Preserve? (community image, marketing, tourism, economic development)  (25 minutes)

What’s so special about Sheridan? (brainstorming, with maps/photos) – (30 minutes)

How to preserve historic character when rehabbing older buildings; the Secretary of Interiors Guidelines for the Treatment of Historic Buildings (60 minutes)

Question and answer (20 minutes)

 

Afternoon Session: for City and County officials and staff, and interested community members – 2.5 hours
