2014 Farmers Market Vendor Packet 

 

The Sheridan Farmers’ Market begins July 18th and operates weekly on Thursdays through September 5th; market hours are from 5-7pm.  A special market will take place on September 14th, in conjunction with the Powder River Basin Resource Council’s “Harvest Fest” at the Sheridan County Fair Grounds.  

The Sheridan Farmers’ Market is located in Grinnell Plaza and will be held in conjunction with the 3rd Thursday Street Festivals on July 18th and August 15th.

Local growers and artisan’s provide fresh produce, arts and crafts.  Weekly musicians provide a festive atmosphere. There are children’s events, youth activities, demonstrations and non profit organization booths at the market every week. Come visit the Farmer’s Market and enjoy downtown!

The primary goals of the Sheridan Farmers’ Market are to:

  • Increase farm/ranch profitability, which will help preserve the region’s rural, agricultural character and lifestyle
  • Offer a low-cost marketing opportunity for small producers, which will encourage the local entrepreneurial spirit
  • Create a direct connection between producer and consumer, which will encourage the mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge and ideas
  • Foster social gathering and interaction among residents, which will enhance the quality of life in Sheridan and complement Main street businesses
