Downtown Sheridan provides a great mix of retail interspersed with restaurants and professional businesses. One of those professional firms is Crowley Fleck, a large, regional firm specializing in oil & gas, energy and natural resources. They are committed to the philosophy of community service. Today they have six offices in Montana, two in North Dakota and three in Wyoming.
“Sheridan is a great place to have an office,” says Jim Mowry, a senior associate attorney at the firm. “When you work in town you are close to everything.”
Jim became involved with the Downtown Sheridan Association when he met then-DSA president John Smith in 2010. “He was one of the first people I got to know in Sheridan, and he has been very helpful as realtor. In addition, my kids love his bookstore (Sheridan Stationery).”
Jim truly values Downtown Sheridan. “Having lived in several other towns across the state of Wyoming, we appreciate it for its sense of community and its unique shops.
The new board member threw himself into his duties, helping with the Farmers Market and with the flower baskets. “My family loves Third Thursdays,” he says. Mowry is married with two daughters. Besides attending the popular street festival in the summer, the Mowry family enjoy camping, golfing, fishing and hunting—“everything Wyoming!” Mowry concludes.
