First Fridays are back at Ballard’s Fine Art Gallery! Starting 4 PM this evening, this months featured artist is Stephanie Hartshorn, an extremely talented landscape artist inspired by architecture of all shapes and sizes! Stop in to learn about her distinct style, while enjoying wine and apps! From 11 AM to 1 PM Saturday, author Paulette Kinnes will be at Sheridan Stationery Books and Gifts signing copies of her new novel, 'Mystery at Evergreen Lake'! Come and meet the author of this exciting new work and discover a new read! The Fly Fishing Film Tour is coming to the WYO Performing Arts & Education Center Saturday! Hosted by Fly Shop of the Bighorns, all proceeds will be donated to the Sheridan Community Land Trust. Support conservation with several awesome raffles, and excellent filmmaking. Doors open at 4:30 PM and showing begins at 5:45 PM! Tickets available online or at door. Sunday afternoon head to The Paint Post to create a charming portrait of, a Llama of course! Starting at 2 PM, this is a great instructed project for painters and Llama enthusiasts of all skill levels, reserve your spot for this relaxing end of weekend activity today! See you downtown!!

March is right around the corner, and this cold snap is coming to an end, (hopefully!) Check out these weekend activities to keep you occupied while we brave the home stretch! Head over to Luminous Brewhouse at 4:30 PM to enjoy delicious New Mexican cuisine and participate in a raffle to support the Sheridan College TRIO Program! Plates are $15 and will benefit the program's service learning trip to Las Cruces, New Mexico! Red Shed Redos Artistry & Picket Fence is holding a Junk Journal Workshop later this evening at 6:00 PM! Skilled instructor Penny Pudge will guide you through multiple journaling techniques to help you create your own unique ledger! All materials provided, but space is limited, so reserve your spot now! Start your Saturday night the right way with some good people, live music and beverages! Davis and Maverick will be gracing the Black Tooth Brewing - Sheridan stage starting at 7 PM. This Sunday at 2 PM, sign up for the Snowy Forest Friends class at The Paint Post! This cute and fuzzy activity is the perfect outing for families and beginner artists to spend a chilly afternoon. Sign up now as spots are limited! Honorable mention this weekend goes to 'Misery' at the WYO Performing Arts & Education Center! There is another slate of performances all weekend, at 7 PM Friday and Saturday, and 2 PM Sunday- so go get your horror fix in at this brilliant production!

Happy Valentine's Day and happy weekend!! There is tons going on this weekend to celebrate with your significant other, family, or friends! Love is in the air in Downtown Sheridan!   Head to Luminous Brewhouse for a 'Paint n Sip' with Sonya Caywood at 5:30 PM this evening for some brews and artistic expression! Double Dubs Wings Food Truck will also be onsite for some good eats to accompany delicious beers. Tickets still available!   Beginning at 6:00 PM, support a great cause with the Advocacy & Resource Center and enjoy some brilliant piano skills at the Kalif Shrine Center! Food by Shabby Shack will be available as well as a cash bar. Get you ticket now!!   Start Saturday by joining Black Cat Boba for a book swap and pop-up shop at 11:00 AM! Featuring several local establishments, bring a book you would love to share to swap for something fresh!   Spend your Saturday evening at the WYO Performing Arts & Education Center for the Civic Theater Guild’s presentation of the classic Stephen King novel, Misery. This extraordinary performance is rated R and is sure to be a memorable thriller for all those in attendance. Skijoring registration is 12 PM to 7 PM, with a Rolls-Royce Motor Cars exhibition right nearby at Alger and Broadway from 1 PM to 3 PM! Live music featuring Knuckles starts at 7 PM. Ballard's First Fridays featuring local award-winning ceramics artist Michael Plourde is this evening from 4 PM to 7 PM! Plourde will be in attendance to discuss his experience, pieces and process! Wine and light appetizers will be served. Enjoy a lovely evening in the beautiful Ballard’s Fine Art Gallery! Bring your little ones to Sheridan Stationery Books and Gifts for February Story Time with Ms. Chelsie! Starting at 10:30 AM Saturday, set the tone for the day with refreshments and tales to instill a love of reading in your kids! Saturday night head to Luminous Brewhouse to celebrate the WYO Winter Rodeo Awards Ceremony at starting at 6 PM for the official afterparty! Join in congratulating contestants and enjoy the sounds of local and beloved blue grass band Shot In the Foot performing soon after at 8 PM!
