Cheryl Sinclair, store manager of 23 years at Foot of the Bighorns stated that the store has an amazing staff that provides great customer service. Cheryl said that Foot of the Bighorns carries a wide range of options for all foot types and needs. She loves Birkenstocks because “they’re great for your skeletal system. They have a great foundation. They have been around since the 1700s so I think they know what they’re doing.” The now large shoe store started in the Sport Stop and has been occupying their current location for about five years. “Our willingness to really work with people to get into the right footwear for their needs is a priority. We have friendly service here and people have learned what we do and what we offer for shoe styles, brands, and service.” Cheryl said of the store. Fall has settled in nicely in the Sheridan area and we are so thankful for the beautiful colors and warm coffee. Believe us when we say, you aren't going to want to miss the happenings this weekend in downtown Sheridan! Just A Card Shop is hosting Friday Night Magic with everyone's favorite, Modern Friday night at 7 PM, just $7 to play! Are you ready for some Fall fun? Join Terri & Sonni at Red Shed Redos Picket Fence, on Friday at 7PM for their "Something to Crow About" Wreath Workshop! Each person will leave with a completed 14" fall wreath! You are in for a treat all month long at the Sheridan County Library System! The 26th annual Fiber Art Show is hanging now through October 30th and the show is lovely and even more beautiful in person! Make sure you stop in and see the wonderful pieces of fiber art on display this month. The special mention this week goes to us! The Paint Post has been thriving in downtown Sheridan for eight years and was recently purchased by Alexandra and Benjamin Johnson in April of this year. Alex’s energy and kindness is infectious and she shows the patrons of the store true welcoming hospitality. Whether you are attending a class or stopping in to pick up a gift, you are always greeted with a smile from Alex and the staff. At The Paint Post there are a lot of creative opportunities tailored to individuals of all ages and artistic levels. The dedicated and talented artists are there to guide you through the artistic process step by step. SPOTLIGHT | SAGE COMMUNITY ARTS
SAGE Community Arts is becoming a household name in the Sheridan area and beyond. The organization is a non-profit led by executive director, Jill Benson and guided by the board of directors. There are two galleries at SAGE consisting of one member gallery that rotates in new art every 3-4 months and one exhibition gallery that changes out every six weeks to feature a new artist or collection. If you haven’t been into the beautiful, bright, and charming galleries to peruse what SAGE Community Arts has to offer the community, you are missing out on a wonderful artistic experience right here in downtown Sheridan. Not only is Rachel Mathews, the Gallery Manager at SAGE a true delight, you are missing the opportunity to take advantage of what SAGE has to offer if you don’t stop in. In addition to hosting two galleries, Rachel wants people to know that 85% of the artists represented at the gallery are local to the Sheridan area.
