VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY | FLOWERS UP
Flowers are going up on Main Street! The DSA is looking for volunteers to assist with logistics, transplanting, and hanging of gorgeous petunias on Sunday, May 18th. This is an awesome and fun opportunity to get your volunteer hours, be apart of a community effort, and contribute making our downtown even more beautiful! Featuring Rebekah McLain as this months artist, enjoy wine and light appetizers, learn McLain's story and discover new works and pieces that might catch your eye. Head to WYO Candle Co. Saturday from 12–6 PM for their Annual Artist Reception featuring the talented local artist Gabrielle Wollert! Explore exciting new additions to her artwork collection, along with other unique items like postcards, car diffusers, wine from Verdello, and more! Saturday, later on at 7 PM, enjoy an unforgettable evening with Jalan Crossland, Wyoming’s own award-winning guitarist and banjo virtuoso. Hailing from the mountain town of Ten Sleep, Jalan brings a powerful mix of bluegrass, Americana, and alternative country to the stage—don’t miss the chance to experience his raw energy and masterful musicianship live at the WYO Performing Arts & Education Center. Tickets available online! Celebrate Cuatro de Mayo and support Juarez Missions with Luminous Brewhouse on Sunday from 4–7 PM. Enjoy live music by The Reverent Blues, a complimentary Mexican dinner, and both live and silent auctions. We’re almost through April—celebrate with a packed slate of live music lighting up Downtown Sheridan, along with other awesome happenings this weekend! Starting tonight at 5:30 PM at the First Congregational Church UCC- Sheridan WY, swing by for a fantastic free jazz concert featuring talented musicians from Sheridan College. Donations support the Sheridan College Music Scholarship Program. Then roll into Luminous Brewhouse around 6 PM for the sounds of Davis & Maverick. Grab a delicious beer, rally your friends, and enjoy the vibes. Plus, the DOUBLE DUBS wing truck will present serving up tasty eats all evening. Saturday marks the 12th Annual Independent Bookstore Day. Celebrate with Sheridan Stationery Books and Gifts starting at 10:00 AM—all-day fun includes a custom cookie, a scavenger hunt with awesome prizes, and of course, the perfect opportunity to pick up a new read! Later that evening, head over to Black Tooth Brewing - Sheridan, Mars Daniels takes the stage at 7 PM. Kick back with great music, good brews, and even better company!
