SPOTLIGHT | BMO PLAZA

October 25th, 2023|

From the outside, you see BMO Financial (Bank of the West until late this summer) and D.A. Davidson. Still, the building is the home to a wide range of businesses from financial services to a dental office and multiple businesses in between. With construction being extended an additional block this year, it’s important to shed some light on the parking options for this corner block of businesses and the ways to get to where you need to go during construction. It’s recommended that patrons access the businesses by using the front entrance with open sidewalks, or take advantage of the parking garage in the back off of Brooks Street and enter through the back entrance. Businesses you can find in the block are BMO Financial, D.A. Davidson, Clockwork Accounting & Financial Services, Seth Shumaker, Attorney at Law, Sheridan County Public Defenders, Redinger Technologies, LLC, Savile Capital Group, Faddis Kennedy Cattle Company, Santec, Sheridan WYO Dental, and Golden Meadowlark Insurance.

SPOTLIGHT | THE CHOCOLATE TREE

October 24th, 2023|

The Chocolate Tree has been in Sheridan since 1994 and operating downtown at the current location for the last 16 years. In speaking with owner, Judy Bishop, you get the idea that she was made for this business. Judy lit up like a Christmas tree while she talked about all of the services and products they offer at The Chocolate Tree. She gleefully put together a gift basket while conversing and the number of treats and care placed in the basket was inspiring and really fun to watch. “The great thing about The Chocolate Tree is that it’s a one-stop shop, whether you want an afternoon pick me up or a thoughtful gift, we have you covered!” Judy said of the store. She added, “Everything we do is to make people happy.” And she’s right, you can’t go into The Chocolate Tree without finding something that puts a smile on your face. Judy noted that they ship all over the country and love to see visitors stop in to pick up treats to take with them or ship them back home. The recently expanded kid’s candy section is impressive and features, as Judy put it, “Trending TikTok-inspired candy! There’s something for big kids and little kids.” On a side note, stop in and check out the truffle selection, The Chocolate Tree carries fine Belgian chocolate and it’s always fresh and beautiful (they even have sugar-free options). Something you may not know about The Chocolate Tree is that they make gift [...]
