In honor of Historic Preservation Month coming up in May, we want to highlight the CB&Q 5631 Project and the Sheridan Railroad History Interpretive Park!πŸš‚
Β
The CB&Q 5631 Project aims to restore #5631 and create an interpretive park across the tracks from the old wooden depot. Not only would this interpretive park represent the importance of the railroad to the history and culture of Sheridan, but it also offers economic, aesthetic, and educational benefits to our community! The interpretative park would provide an opportunity for visitors to get a closer look and experience the engine, in addition to the historic Sheridan trolley and other railroad features.

We are excited to see how this project could benefit our community and tie into the E 5th Street Corridor Plan!
