WEEKEND HAPPENINGS | NOVEMBER 17TH-19TH

It's going to be a beautiful weekend, especially now that Main Street is OPEN! Come downtown and get a head start on your holiday shopping. On Saturday morning make sure to stop by St. Peter's Episcopal Church as they will be hosting their 66th Annual Christmas Bazaar. Volunteers work all year long to make the most beautiful wreaths and crafts. The Bazaar is from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Sheridan Stationery Books and Gifts will be hosting Rose Hill, Wyoming Poet Laureate Emerita, for a book signing of her newly published Poetic Memoire. Butterflies and Marigolds is a beautiful collection of 96 poems is Rose’s memoir told in verse. The event is from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Luminous Brewhouse is celebrating their 10th year Anniversary. Join them to raise a glass for a decade of great brews, live music, and memories. The celebration starts at 2 p.m. and Charlee Beth Designs will be there with her fun pop-up shop! The Dugan Irby Band will take the stage at 7 p.m. and Bruno's Italian BBQ will be onsite serving delicious food! This week's special mentions go to Sheridan College Theater as they present 'The Boy at the Edge of Everything’ by Finegan Kruckemeyer at the WYO Theater on Saturday at 1 p.m. Black Tooth Brewing - Sheridan , has a surprise musical performance by John Kirlin & the High Plains Drifters on Saturday. Music starts at 7 p.m.

Tonight at 7:00 p.m., Grammy Award Winner Larry Mitchell is back at the WYO Theater this time with his band and another Grammy Award-Winner artist, Robert Mirabal. Larry Mitchell is a producer, engineer and performer who has toured the world playing guitar with well-known artists including Tracy Chapman, Billy Squier, Ric Ocasek and Miguel Bosé. In his original compositions, Larry skillfully weaves guitar textures that showcase his virtuosity as a solo artist and ensemble player. Bought Beauty is hosting their annual Give with an Impact, Under the Same Moon. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. on Friday night (RSVP ONLY 307-620-2339). Join them for an evening of Moonlit Shopping & Desserts! Live performance by Mark Elliot Bergman and featured guest speaker, Amy Ahiga, founder of the Grain of Rice Project! SPOTLIGHT | BEST OUT WEST ANTIQUES

Best Out West Antiques is its own fantastic journey through time and space. Owned by Christy Love, Best Out West has been on Main Street since the early 1990s and has become a treasure hunter’s delight! There are roughly 16000 square feet of shoppable space that are merchandised floor to ceiling with volumes of collectibles, antiques, treasures, and beyond. Best Out West has become a destination for visitors and of course the locals. We all know that Sheridan loves their antiques and hunting for gorgeous sand sometimes rare finds. Best Out West Antiques manager, Darla Judes started out as a vendor at the store and has been managing it for over 20 years. Did you know there are over 260 vendors who sell their goods at Best Out West? The items for sale don’t just come from Wyoming, vendors are from all over including Wyoming, Colorado, North Carolina, and even South Africa. A person should plan to spend a good amount of time meandering through the collection of items at Best Out West, they have everything under the sun from antiques and collectibles to locally made items. Darla mentioned that patrons stop in to peruse and enjoy the whole experience and they spend time taking it all in. “People come in to talk and reminisce, they like to tell their stories and connect with us about specific items they find.
