2023 HISTORIC PRESERVATION MONTH SPOTLIGHT | FIRST CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH UCC

May 25th, 2023|

DSA would like to close out Historic Preservation Month on a high note, to say the least. Thank you to the lovely community who came out to celebrate the First Congregational Church UCC- Sheridan WY being added to the National Register of Historic Places, which helped them gain formal recognition of the property’s historic architectural significance. On Thursday afternoon DSA and the Certified Local Government, along with Rev. Dr. Sheila Naismith (Minister of First Congregational United Church of Christ) welcomed patrons to the church to celebrate the joyous and historic occasion! We want to thank everyone for their support and the community for showing up to the party. And of course, we are so grateful for the beautiful Charcuterie tray from Verdello, the tasty cheese and crackers from Sackett's Market and the fun treats from Java Moon!

SPOTLIGHT | TINY TWIGS BABY & KID

May 23rd, 2023|

When you meet Emily Dilloway, owner of Tiny Twigs Baby & Kid, you feel like you’ve known her for years. Her store is beautiful with carefully curated clothing and accessories for babies and kids, offering sizes 0 months to 10 years. Emily also carries locally-made, hand-crafted products and one of her favorites is Nanny’s Bootie’s & Bows, offering hand knitted, hand embroidered, one of a kind baby and children’s items, offered exclusively at Tiny Twigs. Emily said her focus when opening Tiny Twigs was to provide unique apparel options for customers that they won’t find anywhere else in Sheridan. She purchases short runs of items so people can find gifts for birthdays and baby showers that not everyone else will bring. When asked what her goal was for her clothing store, Emily said, “I am really growth-minded for our downtown, by offering unique brands that draw people here it’s good for all of us downtown, I want to see our community grow.” You can hear it in her voice that she is passionate about everyone being successful together. Remember that Tiny Twigs Baby & Kid is OPEN and sidewalks are fully accessible to her store! She has a big sign out that will help direct you right to her store. Even better news is that for your convenience, you may park in the back parking lot (Emily Robin Photography) to access the store!
